Mike Dufek went 4-for-9 with two home runs and seven RBI to help Big Ten-leading Michigan to a doubleheader sweep of the Gophers baseball team at Siebert Field on Sunday.
Dufek went 2-for-5 with a home run and five RBI to lead the Wolverines (38-11, 23-4 Big Ten) to an 11-5 victory in the first game, and was 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Michigan’s 12-8 victory in the second game.
He also pitched two innings in Game 2 to save the victory.
Michigan clinched the Big Ten regular-season title for the third consecutive season.
The losses dropped the Gophers to 18-33 overall and 8-19 in the Big Ten. The Gophers will miss the Big Ten postseason playoffs for the first time since 1997.
