New St. John's University head football coach Gary Fasching named Kurt Ramler, a 1997 Johnnies graduate and recent finalist for the school's head-coaching vacancy, as associate head coach and offensive coordinator.

"Kurt is a young, energetic and innovative coach who will bring great enthusiasm and experience to our program," Fasching said in a news release. "He is also a proven recruiter and will attract quality student-athletes to Saint John's."
Prior to Carleton, Ramler served as an offensive assistant at four institutions, including a one-year stint at St. John's in 2002. Ramler was 27-3-1 as a starting quarterback for the Johnnies and threw 87 touchdown passes. He was named MVP of the MIAC as a seniorJ Robinson to miss meets
