North Dakota State University's Craig Bohl is the national coach of the year in the NCAA's Football Championship Subdivision. He received the Eddie Robinson Award on Monday night in Philadelphia.

"This is great recognition for our program," Bohl said in a statement. "Anyone who understands college football knows the head coach really doesn't have a lot to do with it. It's the assistant coaches, the support staff and the players. This is a collective effort."

Bohl has led the Bison (13-1) to a repeat appearance in the FCS title game. The Bison will play Sam Houston State (11-3) on Jan. 5 in Frisco, Texas.
