Gophers at a glance: The Gophers are riding high after three consecutive wins against Memphis, Stanford and Florida State -- none at home -- and a No. 21 ranking in the AP Top 25. With everything the Gophers have going for them now, they shouldn't have any trouble in their first home game in almost two weeks. Rodney Williams, Austin Hollins and Andre Hollins have all been terrific for the Gophers, and Joe Coleman has been very solid -- giving the Gophers four players averaging double digits in scoring. Trevor Mbakwe started to show more life over that stretch as well, which bodes very well for the future. Look for turnovers -- cutting down on them -- to become a big focus over the rest of the nonconference schedule.

North Florida at a glance: The Ospreys have played Memphis, Kansas State and Florida State, which partly explains their 3-4 record. North Florida hasn't seriously threatened any of those teams, but it did play the Seminoles close in the second half. The Ospreys have played five of their past six games away from Jacksonville Arena -- and eventually that experience on the road might do these players well. For now, it might be wearing them out more than anything. Still, North Florida has played pretty good defense considering the competition and has been effective from three-point range. Parker Smith is scoring 17.1 points a game and has made 31 threes, both team highs.
