Gophers at a glance: Minnesota enters Thursday's game hoping to build on a Sunday victory against Richmond that was solid in the end, but illuminated struggles throughout. The Gophers -- who have had at least 17 turnovers in their four games -- need to focus on taking care of the ball against Duke, as well as attacking the boards against the sizable Blue Devils. The Gophers have shown an improvement in outside shooting recently, hitting at least five three-pointers in their past three games. Rodney Williams leads the team with 14.5 points and 6.5 rebounds a game.

Duke at a glance: The No. 5 Blue Devils come to the Bahamas with plenty of momentum after overcoming Kentucky in the State Farm Champions Classic and then crushing Florida Gulf Coast in their most recent game, in which Duke went on a 30-0 run at one point. In that matchup, Quinn Cook got his first start of the season at point guard, and is expected to start again on Thursday. Seth Curry, who has been dealing with pain in his shin, should be available against Minnesota, but his status for the rest of the tournament is up in the air. Mason Plumlee continues to be stellar for Duke, leading the team with 21.7 points and 8.7 rebounds a game.
