These five plays or sequences were game-changers Saturday:
On fourth-and-1 from the Michigan 41 in the first quarter, Gophers RB Donnell Kirkwood was stuffed for no gain, turning the ball over on downs.
With the Gophers up 7-0 in the second quarter and Michigan facing third-and-17, Devin Gardner dodged trouble and found a wide-open Drew Dileo for a 45-yard TD.
On third-and-goal from the Gophers 4, Gophers cornerback Martezz Shabazz was flagged for pass interference. One play later, Michigan went ahead 14-7 shortly before halftime.
On fourth-and-16 from the Michigan 19, the Gophers tried a fake field goal and come up well short. Michigan took the ensuing drive 86 yards for a TD.
Trailing 21-7, the Gophers didn't score a TD despite having first-and-goal from the 3. They settled for a field goal. They made it into Wolverines territory eight times in the game but scored only 13 points.
