The Gophers knocked a second men's basketball recruit off their wish list Saturday, getting a verbal commitment from Chicago recruit Alex Foster.

Foster, a former teammate of the other 2013 Gophers recruit, Alvin Ellis, announced on Twitter that he would be joining the Gophers next year.

"Its official im a Golden Gopher!" he tweeted.

Foster, at 6-8, 200 pounds, could play at small forward or power forward, depending on how the Gophers decide to use him.

The Gophers are seeking one more forward along with Foster to help them replace Trevor Mbakwe and Rodney Williams after they graduate. Still on the wish list is Gavin Schilling, another former teammate of Foster and Ellis at Chicago's DeLaSalle. Foster currently attends Seton Academy while Schilling attends Findlay Prep in Nevada.
