U golfers finish seventh at East Lansing
Purdue won the team title by seven shots over host Michigan State at the Mary Fossum Invitational on Sunday in East Lansing, Mich.
The Boilermakers' score was an 11-over 875 (288-290-297), tying a 54-hole Fossum Invitational record.
The Gophers (303-306-312) finished 57 over for a 921 team score to take seventh in the 17-team field on the par-72 course.
The Gophers' top golfers were Banchalee Theinthong and Carmen Laguna, who were both nine strokes over par with a 225 total and tied for 18th.
Krista Puisite of Texas State, who shot a 1-under 215, took individual honors.
