With North Dakota's Chris VandeVelde off for hooking, Shelast beat Sioux goalie Jean-Philippe Lamoureux at 10:41 of overtime. Defenseman Geoff Kinrade's pass set up Shelast in front of the net.

The ninth-seeded Huskies (14-19-5) trailed 2-0 after two periods before Jimmy Kerr started the comeback with a power-play goal 1:19 into the third.

Brad Miller gave the second-seeded Sioux (25-8-4) a 1-0 lead in the first period, and Matt Frattin made it 2-0 in the second. UND's school-record unbeaten streak ended at 18 games.
