Andrew Rock, a former assistant at Carleton, was a member of the gold medal-winning 4x400 relay team for the United States in 2004.

Andrew Rock, who won a gold medal as part of the U.S. 4x400-meter relay team at the 2004 Olympics, was named head coach of the men's and women's track and field programs at Bethel University. The Stratford, Wis., native was an assistant coach at Carleton College.

• Claudia Pilot and Brenda Williams combined for a score of 104 to win the Minnesota Women's Golf Assocation's Senior Four-Ball tournament at Red Wing Golf Club, which was shortened to 27 holes because of rain.
