The NCAA will look into using three-quarters face shields, instead of the current full face shields, for college hockey players.

The NCAA posted this story on its web site.

It indicates the vast majority of coaches prefer the three-quarters shield.

The story also details other rules the NCAA Ice Hockey Committee is considering changing or modifying.

Hand passes in all zones will now be illegal. And conferences will have the option of playing 4-on-4 in overtime periods.
