The team's penalty killers held North Dakota scoreless on 12 power plays last weekend, moving the Gophers up to 12th nationally with a 87.7 percent success rate. Junior Blake Wheeler (13 goals, 13 assists for 26 points) continues to lead the team in scoring. Denver swept the Gophers 4-1 and 5-1 at Mariucci Arena in early November.

Denver at a glance: Since a controversial 3-2 victory over Wisconsin on Jan. 11, the Pioneers are in a 1-4 slump.
