Gophers hockey fans unable to be at Xcel Energy Center on Saturday can relax. They will be able to watch their team play on Saturday after all.

Fox Sports North Plus -- the alternate channel for Fox Sports North -- will televise the Gophers vs. Boston University NCAA West Regional game at 4 p.m. Saturday.

FSN was not available for the Gophers-BU game because coverage of the Wild-Buffalo game begins at 5:30 p.m.

The first semifinal in the West Regional, top-seeded North Dakota vs. Western Michigan, will air on FSN at 12:30 p.m. Saturday.

Also, FSN Plus will broadcast the East Regional matchup between Minnesota Duluth and Maine at 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

To find the channel for FSN Plus on your cable or satellite provider, go to foxsportsnorth.com.

"This is the NCAA tournament, and we want to take care of our viewers," said Mike Dimond, FSN senior vice president and general manager.

FSN has televised 31 Gophers games this season, but ESPN has the broadcast rights to the NCAA tournament. "We had reached out to them a while ago," Dimond said.

Dimond said FSN decided to carry North Dakota's and Minnesota Duluth's first NCAA games as well because those teams are also in the station's coverage area. "It was a perfect storm," he said, "[of] those teams not being matched up against either other."

Until FSN stepped in, the Gophers-BU game was slated to be available live only on ESPN3.com or on tape delay on ESPNU at 2 p.m. Sunday.

The West Regional final at 4:30 p.m. Sunday will be on ESPNU.

BU coach: Bring on big crowd

Jack Parker, Boston University's veteran coach, said the Gophers will have a home-ice advantage in fans. "But sometimes that is not always the best thing," he said. "It puts pressure on you. ... We will not be overwhelmed. I would rather have a huge anti-BU crowd than no crowd at all."
