Gophers at a glance: With six losses in seven games, the Gophers (17-12 , 5-11 Big Ten) almost have forfeited any chance of making it to the NCAA tournament save from a Big Ten tournament championship. ... PG Julian Welch, who suffered a hip pointer last week, played only limited minutes Sunday. Backup Maverick Ahanmisi is also not fully healthy after turning an ankle last week. ... On Feb. 9 at Williams Arena, the Gophers scored the final 10 points of regulation to force overtime, but never built off that in a 68-61 loss to Wisconsin.

Wisconsin at a glance: The Badgers (21-8, 10-6) had won six conference games in a row but have alternated wins and losses since, including a second baffling loss to Iowa on Thursday. However, they followed that with a thrilling 63-60 victory at Ohio State on Sunday. ... The Kohl Center, known as one of the toughest venues in the nation for opponents, has not been so this season. The Badgers have lost at home to Marquette, Ohio State, Michigan State and Iowa. ... Benilde-St. Margaret's product Jordan Taylor leads the Badgers with 14.3 points and 4.2 assists per game. Princeton's Jared Berggren averages 10.6 points and 4.9 rebounds and hit the go-ahead three-pointer at Ohio State.
