Former Gophers center Colton Iverson will transfer to Colorado State, according to reports published Thursday.

Iverson left the Gophers in March after three seasons with the program. He will have to sit out next season before joining the Rams in 2012-13.

North Dakota gets back two hockey stars

Standout goaltender Aaron Dell is returning to the University of North Dakota for his junior season rather than turning pro.

The Grand Forks Herald first reported Dell's decision. UND on Wednesday confirmed to The Associated Press that Dell will be back in the fall.

Dell, from Airdrie, Alberta, earned second-team All-America honors in his sophomore season, which ended when the Fighting Sioux lost to Michigan in the national semifinals. He led the country in goals-against average, victories and shutouts.

Sioux defenseman Ben Blood also announced he will return for his senior season. The Plymouth, Minn., native appeared in all 44 games for North Dakota this past season and led the nation with a plus-32 plus/minus rating.

• The Lynx signed Amber Harris. The Xavier center was the fourth overall pick in the WNBA draft last week.

• Three intercollegiate sports appear headed for elimination at Minnesota State Mankato. Women's tennis, which is a championship Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference sport, would be spared, but men's tennis, women's bowling and men's swimming would not.
