OFFENSIVE MVP: Zach Brown, Wisconsin

The third-string tailback, playing because P.J. Hill is injured and backup Lance Smith isn't allowed to play on road games, dodged Gophers defenders all day on his way to 250 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 29 carries.

DEFENSIVE MVP: Matt Shaughnessy, Wisconsin

The junior defensive lineman led the Badgers with nine tackles (six solo, three assisted), including 2½ tackles for loss.

KEY STATS

226: Total return yards on kickoffs and punts for Badgers freshman David Gilreath, an Armstrong High School graduate. He had a 56-yard punt return and a 36-yard kickoff return.

87: Yards rushing on 15 carries for Gophers quarterback Adam Weber. He was the Gophers' leading rusher.
