WINONA, MINN. -- Anthony Tucker banked in a shot from half-court as time expired to give the Winona State men's basketball team a 68-66 victory over Southwest Minnesota State in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play Friday night.

With three seconds to go, Tucker -- the former Star Tribune Metro Player of the Year from Minnetonka who transferred to Winona State (7-1, 3-1 NSIC) this season after playing at Iowa as a freshman -- took an inbounds pass, made two dribbles to the center of the court and launched a shot that banked off the glass and through the basket. He was mobbed by his teammates.

Jordan Miller hit a three-pointer with three seconds to play from the corner in front of the visitor's bench to put the Mustangs up 66-65. Trailing 65-62 with nine seconds left, Southwest State's Matt Zager hit a free throw to trim the lead to 65-63. His second free throw was missed and teammate Scott Roehl grabbed the rebound and passed to Miller, who made his three.

Southwest State held a 62-58 with 3 minutes, 15 seconds left but failed to score again until Miller's three. The Mustangs (5-4, 2-3) have lost three games in a row -- all on the road in conference play, and by a total of four points.

Tucker finished with 26 points on 8-for-20 shooting and added seven rebounds. Xavier Humphrey and Jon Walburg both came off the bench to score 11 for Winona State, and Clayton Vette added eight points and 12 rebounds for the Warriors, who shot only 33.3 percent from the floor.

Miller scored 15 points for the Mustangs, as did Lavione West, who shot 7-for-11.
