Attention hackers, play it now and score well, wait five years and your score will certainly go up! This environmentally friendly golf course is located in Albertville, Minnesota, just two miles from Interstate 94 and just south of the Albertville Outlet Mall.
Opened in 1999, this 18-hole course with driving range and two practice greens is still in its youth. The course's length is short, playing only 5715 yards from the white tees and 6060 from the blues, although the course's layout has a professional design feel to it. Using natural wetlands to line some of the fairways and also forcing you on some holes to tee off over the wetlands, it makes for a stiff challlenge. The lush fairways are tree-lined, but the trees are small, and the rough is very forgiving.
To test your accuracy, it seems every hole has strategically placed sand traps that will catch your errant drives or snag your approach shots to the nicely sized greens. The pro shop with two pros on staff and a wide range of accessories is very well equipped. There is food and bar service in the clubhouse. It has a great lunch menu and a large patio overlooking the 18th green.
The course has five different leagues: men's, women's, senior and junior leagues, as well as a couple's league on Friday. Put this course near the top of your must-play list and with five more years of maturity, Cedar Creek Golf Course will challenge even the top golfers.
