Lehman pulls out of Champions Tour finale

Minnesota native Tom Lehman withdrew from the Charles Schwab Cup Championship in Sonoma, Calif., on Wednesday because of a family emergency, leaving 29 players in the season finale on the Champions Tour.
Lehman qualified for the tournament by placing 22nd on the tour's money list.
U golfers lose groundThe Gophers women's golf team slipped one spot to 15th place after 36 holes of the 18-team Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown. The Gophers are at 33 over par. Arizona leads at 2-over 578. Teresa Puga shot 77 Tuesday and leads Gophers scorers at 6-over 150, tied for 32nd place.
Etc.• Gophers women's hockey goalie Noora Raty was chosen WCHA rookie of the week for the second week in a row.
