LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Tyler Johnson scored 19 points, including a pair of 3-pointers in the final two minutes, as Fresno State defeated Air Force 61-59 in a Mountain West Conference tournament quarterfinal game Wednesday.

The victory over the 10th-seeded Falcons sent the seventh-seeded Bulldogs (17-15) into a Thursday semifinal with No. 20 New Mexico (24-6).

Fresno State led 27-24 at the half but Air Force stormed back in the second with a 26-10 run highlighted by two 3-pointers by Tre Coggins and one by Max Yon to lead 50-37 with 8:24 to play. The Flacons stalled in the stretch, allowing the Bulldogs to respond with a 14-6 run in which Alex Davis went 6 of 6 from the line and Tyler Johnson hit back-to-back 3-pointers with under two minutes remaining to give the lead back to Fresno State for the win.

Coggins led Air Force (12-18) with 20 points and six rebounds.
