Tuesday (Front vs. back pocket -- the great wallet debate) edition: Wha' Happened?

This is an extension of a fierce Twitter debate between @AaronGleeman and some of his cohorts. They haven't started talking about VORP (Value Over Replacement Pocket) or TAWIP (Theft Average on Wallets In Play), so we feel comfortable commandeering the dialogue for a moment.

Our two cents: For much of our adult life, we had great enthusiasm for the back right pocket when it came to where the wallet should go. But we also had a bad habit of overloading our wallet -- grandpa wallet syndrome -- and so when we would drive, it would often be uncomfortable. The only time we would ever wear it in a front pocket is in a foreign country because FOREIGN PEOPLE ARE SCARY AND MIGHT STEAL IT, whereas people here are honest and would not steal it. This made no sense, but it's still how we rolled.
In June, we switched to a very small wallet for a trip to Ireland, since we wouldn't need many of the things we thought we needed to carry around in everyday life. It was comfortable. It was easy to access. When we came back home, we realized we didn't really need all the things we had been lugging around. We didn't need the corners of some monstrosity digging into our [redacted] when we drove. We started carrying a small wallet in the front right pocket, and we have honestly never been happier.
Where does the cell phone go? Left front, obviously. Where do keys go? They share space in the right front with the wallet. Plenty of room in there, fellas. You shouldn't need more than a few keys on your ring. If you have more, it's really time to reconsider.
Truth be told, right front is also the safest place to keep it in terms of guarding against theft, regardless of whether you are in Bulgaria or Stillwater. Just listen to Glen Perkins.

Most days, we could fill up RandBall only with the press release pitches we receive. Sometimes this would be humorous. Other times, it would just get the pitchman (or woman) the product placement he/she desires. TFD: Behold the first football card with Brett Favre as a Viking

We've always wanted to yell "stop the presses!" and mean it, but usually stories about painted goats and the like don't warrant such a thing. One trading card company, though, apparently did just that. From a press release:
Panini America announced today that the company stopped the presses this weekend in order to include the FIRST trading card of Minnesota Viking’s quarterback, Brett Favre, in its August, 2009 retail release of Donruss Threads Football. Favre pulled on the purple #4 jersey for the first time last Friday night in the Vikings preseason victory against the Kansas City Chiefs. Panini America dispatched a photographer to the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome with the sole intention of creating this historical card.
“We wanted Favre’s FIRST official Vikings trading card to be an in-game action shot of him wearing the purple #4,” said Panini America Marketing Manager Scott Prusha. “We were able to send a photographer to the game Friday night, print cards Saturday and have them ready for product insertion first thing Monday morning.”
With production of hobby boxes in their final distribution stages, 4,444 Favre cards were inserted into BOTH Target and Wal-mart blaster boxes and packs.
The number of cards. Get it? Because he wears the number 4. We can only hope the cards are as delicious as panini-style sandwiches.
The picture of a Chiefs player sticking his helmet in Favre's chest was perhaps the second pick for the card photo.
