Wayzata is a back-to-back champ, winning this year's Class 3A boys' golf championship by 15 shots over Rogers.
Senior Kyle Beversdorf and junior Tyler Lowenstein each finished with 144 totals, good for second place. St. Cloud Tech junior Charlie Braniff was the unlikely individual champ. After barely making it to state out of section 8 (he was 5 over after four holes but settled) he shot a 68 yesterday and a 74 today to beat Beversdorf and Lowenstein by a pair.
We'll crown 1A and 2A champs tomorrow. I'll be out at Ridges at Sand Creek in Jordan for the 2A finish. Updates to follow.
