It's sticks heading into the final period of regulation here in the Class 1A championship.

Breck and Hermantown are knotted 1-1 after two periods

Riley Borer's heads-up awareness and speed made the game 1-1 at 7:53 of the second. He took the puck at center ice, shoved it ahead to Tyson Fulton, then sprinted to the net. Fulton shot toward the goal, the puck was tipped by Mike Morin right to Borer, and then he buried it into a yawning net.

Some heavy action to end the second.

One of the better end to end sequences of the tournament happened with about three minutes to play. Morin and linemate Tyson Fulton failed to connect on a point-plank give and go on one end of the ice. That resulted in a ruch the other way in which the Hawks were stopped by Johnny Russell.

Then with 28 seconds to play, Hermantown had a 3-on-1 but never really got a shot off.
