Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley had the ball for over 32 minutes to Stephen-Argyle's 15 in the 9-man state football semifinals Friday. But the Storm took advantage of big plays and the defense held strong in the end for a 21-18 victory.

Stephen-Argyle's three touchdowns were from 24, 55 and 6 yards - and that last one was set up by a 67-yard rush two plays earlier from Jamison St. Germain. The 5-9, 156-pound senior also hauled in that 55yd score giving the Storm a 15-6 lead.

The Class 1A semifinal between Adrian and Fosston is already underway, so I have to make this quick (wow - there's hardly ANY time between games ...), but here's some stats for you:

St. Germain finished with 146 all-purpose yards (64 receiving, 70 rushing, 12 on returns).

C-G-B's Levi Lupkes ran for 104 yards and Nate Vogt added 96 more.

All-told, C-G-B out-gained Stephen-Argyle 399-254.
