Greetings
You had to figure there would be changes to the two-deep in the wake of suspensions to starting defensive end Cedrick McKinley and backup safety Tim Dandredge. Well, here they are:
Anthony Jacobs, a sophomore who has seen action in all four games -- picking up six tackles and a sack -- is the new starter at defensive end opposite Barrett Moen. Derrick Onwauchi is listed as Moen's backup. Ray Henderson, a senior who had his first sack this season at Syracuse, is Jacobs' backup.
It figures that the Gophers will use a number of combinations at defensive end, with D.L. wilhite also in the mix.
At safety, Ryan Collado has become Kim Royston's backup at free safety., with Michael McKelton becoming Marcus Sherels' backup at cornerback.
At right guard Matt Carufel -- who missed Saturday's game with dizzy spells, is still listed at No. 1 with D.J. Burris as his backup.
