The Warriors come to town for their second and final visit of the season to Target Center and they do so 2-3 in five games since Kevin Durant went out with a medial collateral knee ligament sprain and leg bone bruise.

Former Warriors guard Brandon Rush had dinner with old mates Draymond Green and Ian Clark in Minneapolis Thursday night and thinks Green is itching to play after Golden State lost at home to Boston on Wednesday night.

"He was pretty excited for this game tonight because they didn't play too well against Boston last game, so we're going to get their best shot," Rush said.

Rush, btw, is back after he was ill and missed Wednesday's thumping of the L.A. Clippers. He said he's feeling fine and is ready to play and Wolves coach Tom Thibodeau hinted he'll put Rush back in the starting lineup even though replacement starter Shabazz Muhammad gave the Wolves great energy to start Wednesday's game.

Thibodeau said he likes the way his team's second unit is playing and sounded like he doesnt want to disrupt that. He also said he likes Rush's defense and shooting with the starters.

After shootaround this morning, Muhammad made it clear he wants to be a starter, but he also said he's willing to wait for his time for that.

The Warriors list both Durant and veteran guard Shaun Livingston (rest) as out for tonight.

We'll see if Warriors coach Steve Kerr rests anyone else tonight with a crucial game at San Antonio Saturday night.

Rush said this recent 2-2 stretch for Golden State is just an adjustment period to playing without Durant and said he doesn't expect Durant's injury will impact the overall playoff picture, if he returns in time for the playoffs as expected.

"I think they're just trying to adjust," Rush said. "They're still a deep team. They're still talented and they've still got guys that can come in and fill that void of not having Kevin Durant. They just have to string it together. I think they'll end up doing it."
