It was a pleasure watching tonight's game. Two teams with a whole lot of young talent were out on the Target Center floor, two offenses that were running pretty smoothly all night. But, in the end, it was the Wolves' youth that was served in a 116-99 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks in ffront of a crowd of 17,779.

The Wolves had 30 assists to 11 turnovers. In the second half, with both Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins passing well out of double teams, the team had 18 assists and just two turnovers while scoring 61 points.

Here are some notes/thoughts on the game:

--The defense still needs some work – the Bucks shot 54.1 percent – but the Wolves are becoming more and more connected on offense. Coach Tom Thibodeau played nine players tonight. Six of them had three or more assists.

--There are certain games you just know Andrew Wiggins will get up for. Going against Jabari Parker – the player taken after him in the 2014 draft – scored 31 points with five rebounds and six assists. His driving slam – which turned into a three-point play – with 2:20 left was something to see.

--Ricky Rubio, relatively quietly, had a very good game. He scored just five points, but had nine assists and four steals, two in the fourth quarter. He was a game-high plus-27.

--With six more three pointers tonight, Zach LaVine set the franchise record for most three pointers made in a month with 53. The previous record was held by Kevin Love, who had 48 in March of 2012.

--After a rather frustrating start to the season, Shabazz Muhammad broke through in a big way, with a season-high 22 points off the bench, hitting eight of 13 shots overall, four of five three-pointers, in 17:42 minutes of playing time. That is the most points by a Wolves reserve this season.
