TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Gophers center Reggie Lynch missed his last game with an ankle injury, but he's back in the starting lineup Monday night for the ACC/Big Ten Challenge against Florida State.

The 6-foot-10, 260-pound junior returns to the court at the right time since the Seminoles are the tallest team Minnesota will face this season.

Lynch can match up physically with most opponents, but Florida State's Michael Ojo is a load at 7-1, 304 pounds. Ojo is backed up by 7-4 sophomore Christ Koumadje. Freshman Jonathan Isaac, a 6-11 former five-star recruit, is the team's leading rebounder (7.3).

Lynch averages 9.2 points, 7.4 rebounds and a Big-Ten leading 3.6 blocks per game this season.

The Edina native was injured in the first half in a 85-71 win against Arkansas on Nov. 22. Lynch still outplayed SEC preseason player of the year, Moses Kingsley, with 10 points, seven rebounds and three blocks in 21 minutes.

Lynch sat out Friday's 57-45 win against Southern Illinois. But freshman Eric Curry made his first career start and finished with eight points and 11 rebounds in 35 minutes.
