Gophers starting center Reggie Lynch is not cleared to play yet for Monday's ACC/Big Ten Challenge at Florida State after missing the last game with an ankle injury, Minnesota coach Richard Pitino said Sunday.

Lynch, a 6-foot-10 junior, injured his right ankle in the first half of Tuesday's win against Arkansas. He only played four minutes in the second half and sat out Friday's 57-45 win against Southern Illinois.

"We've done non-contact stuff with him," Pitino said. "We'll just see how he progresses today. I have no idea if he'll play tomorrow. I have no way of predicting the future. I hope he plays."

Lynch is averaging 9.2 points, 7.5 rebounds and a Big Ten-best 3.6 blocks per game. Freshman Eric Curry replaced him in the starting lineup Friday, finishing with eight points, 11 rebounds and five turnovers in a season-high 35 minutes.

"We're planning on Reggie to play, but we're all going to be ready to step in and contribute," Curry said.
