The NBA is sending Canadians Andrew Wiggins and Anthony Bennett back home with two Timberwolves preseason games this October on the other side of the border.
The Wolves will play in two of the league's four Canada Series games -- Toronto plays in three of the four, naturally -- that stretch nearly from coast to coast.
The Wolves will play Chicago -- and new coach Fred Hoiberg as well as Derrick Rose, etc. -- at the MTS Centre in Winnipeg on Oct. 10 and then play the Raptors Oct. 14 at the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa.
Bennett intends to play for Canada in July's Pan Am Games and in an Olympic qualifying tournament in Mexico in August. Wiggins likely will just play in the Olympic qualifier. He also likely will practice with the Wolves' summer-league team but won't play games with it in Las Vegas.
The Raptors kick off the Canada Series against the L.A. Clippers in Vancouver on Oct. 4 and wrap it up against Washington on Oct. 23.
