Greetings from Target Center, where the Wolves will be playing Detroit tonight. Tipoff for the home opener is a little later, 7:13. Flip Saunders has never lost a home opener as coach of the Wolves (9-0).

Here are a few pre-game nuggets:

--Flip Saunders said Kevin Martin, who missed Wednesday's season opener with a sore ankle, is good to go tonight. But he is not listed as a starter. Interesting.

--Flip said not to put too much stock in Nikola Pekovic's quiet opening night. Pek was going against Marc Gasol, one of the league's best defensive centers. And Saunders said it may take a while for the big guy to get into a rhythm after not doing a lot workout-wise over the summer.

--Glenn Robinson III and Ronny Turiaf (sore hip) are tonight's inactives. Saunders said he will try to get Zach LaVine some playing time tonight

--Jarinn Akana, one of Ricky Rubio's agents, is in town, and will be here at least through Friday, which is the deadline for the Wolves and Rubio to come to an agreement on a contract extension. Akana would not comment on the negotiations other than to say every Wolves offer he has seen reported is incorrect. The two sides will continue to talk, he said. As for a potential deal? "We'll all see tomorrow," he said.

That's about it for now. I'll get back to you after the game.
