The WNBA officially announced Cheryl Reeve of the Lynx will coach the Western Conference and Michael Cooper of Atlanta will lead the Eastern Conference at the WNBA All-Star Game on July 19 in Phoenix.
Reeve was chosen because the Lynx won the Western Conference title in 2013 before winning the WNBA crown.
Fred Williams led Atlanta to the Eastern Conference title last season. Williams left to coach Tulsa. Cooper now coaches the Dream, and was chosen because it has the best record in the East this season.
Starting lineups for the game will be announced July 8, and reserves will be announced July 15.
