Guard Chrstina Foggie, a second-round pick in this year's draft, was waived Tuesday by the Lynx, who open the regular season Friday at Washington. Foggie averaged 4.7 points, 3.0 rebounds and 0.5 assists in three preseason games. She was the 24th overall pick in last year's draft.
Foggie's release leaves the roster at 13 players, one more than the limit. Barring adding a player via waivers, it appears likely the final roster spot will go to one of two rookies: forward Tricia Liston or 6-6 center Waltiea Rolle.
The Lynx open their home season Sunday against Connecticut at 4 p.m. at Target Center.
