Now that Kevin Love has been voted in as an NBA All-Star starter, the Timberwolves are turning their attention to a campaign also featuring Nikola Pekovic as a viable reserve candidate.

They produced a limited number of "Bruise Brothers" records featuring both Love and Pek dressed up like Jake and Elwood from the Blues Brothers -- and touting the accomplishments of both players.

According to the Wolves, the albums have actual music on them, though we don't have a record player at the office to verify (well, maybe there's one in Sid's office, but we don't have the heart to check).

In any event, our Kent Youngblood caught up with both players today in Chicago -- where the Wolves play tonight, which is a nice coincidence since much of the Blues Brothers movie takes place in that city -- and they both seemed to enjoy the idea.

"I didn't even know they were doing it until a couple days ago, so it was pretty funny. A good idea," Love said.

Said Pek: "Flip brings it to us, and he promised me some extra copies, so I can bring them back home.''

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

Hit it.
