Wild players on Twitter

Posted by: Michael Russo under Wild training camp Updated: September 19, 2013 - 8:34 AM

Here is an updated list of Wild player/prospect Twitter accounts – well, the public ones, not the secret ones. This is in no particular order. On a few of these, you may have to learn Swedish.

What's so fascinating, and I learned this at the 2011 draft combine when I attended to prep for the draft the Wild was hosting, it's something like 75% of all prospects are on Twitter publicly now (and probably more in 2013). Yet, when it comes to NHL vets, it's still a low percentage.

It's emblematic of how social media and Twitter particularly has become the norm this generation and why athletes on Twitter will only grow as young players become established NHLers.

As always, you can follow me at www.twitter.com/russostrib. You'll want to tonight if you want updates from the exhibition game in Winnipeg, for instance.
