Well, this has been a pretty impressive few days.

Sunday Phoenix came to Target Center with a five-game winning streak led by Western Conference player of the month Diana Taurasi. The result: A one-sided Lynx victory in which Taurasi was held to four points.

Tuesday, Atlanta came in with the league's best record, with eight days to rest, with a six-game winning streak and the reigning Eastern Conference player of the month Angel McCoughtry. The result: A 22-point victory in which McCoughtry needed 19 shots to score 16 points.

And Tuesday they did it without Seimone Augustus, out with a sprained left ankle. But it wasn't a problem. Monica Wright stepped into the starting lineup and scored 22 points on 7-for-10 shooting, Lindsay Whalen (20 points, five assists, no turnovers) had another great game and Maya Moore hit on seven of eight shots and scored 19 points.

Here are some other thoughts from the game:

--Before tonight, no team had shot 45 percent or scored more than 81 points against Atlanta, the best defensive team in the league. And the Lynx go out and shoot 51.5 percent and score 94.

--The Dream managed to stay in the same area code as the Lynx early by dominating on the offensive glass. Atlanta had 13 first-half offensive rebounds. Second half? Three.

--I thought Devereaux Peters had a sneaky strong game tonight. She scored six points with four rebounds and had a steal. Not huge numbers. But she was very good on help defense, very active.

--Lynx starters combined to shoot 29-for-48 tonight (60.4 percent) and score 79 points.

Augustus is going with the team on the upcoming trip to Indiana and Tulsa, but I would be surprised if she plays. As always, the Lynx were wonderful at home. Now it's time to duplicate that on the road, where the team is 2-3.

That's about all. Have a good night.
