The Lynx returned to practice after a day off Sunday to prepare for Tuesday night's game against San Antonio.

That practice ended with some good news. Lynx forward Rebekkah Brunson was named the Western Conference player of the week for games ending Sunday. This marks the fourth time Brunson has won the award in her career.

"We are excited for Rebekkah," Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve said. "She puts so much time into her game it's really nice to see her be honored with this type of recognition."

Brunson capped off the week with a strong effort in a loss in Washington. She scored 21 points on 8-for-11 shooting with 17 rebounds. She also had three assists and two blocks. It was her seventh career game with 20 or more points and 10 or more rebounds in a game and her 56th career double-double.

Brunson had four points and 10 rebounds in 20 minutes of playing time in Thursday's victory over Phoenix.
For the week Brunson led the Western Conference in total rebounds (13.5), offensive rebounds (5.5) and field goal percentage (.667).

"It's nice to get the individual accolades but we walked out of there with a loss, so that is unfortunate," Brunson said of the team's loss in Washington. "But I'm thankful and glad that I got a little bit of recognition."
