He welcomes suggestions, news tips, links of pure genius, and pictures of pets in Halloween costumes here, though he already knows he will regret that last part.

TFD: Jack Morris to do radio in another city (Toronto) where he was a champion

Jack Morris is leaving Minnesota for Toronto.

Again.

OK, this time it's not quite as dramatic, but Sportsnet reports that Morris is heading to the Blue Jays to be an analyst on radio broadcasts as well as make TV appearances.

Morris did radio work with the Twins through 2011 but did not have a role last season -- a fact that rubbed him the wrong way per a December 2012 Star Tribune interview when he was quoted as saying, "I never got a goodbye. Never, 'Jack, we're going in a different direction.' Never told me I was fired. If that's estranged, then maybe it is."

Morris, a St. Paul native, starred for the Twins in 1991 and was the Game 7 World Series hero with his 10-inning shutout. He then moved on to Toronto, where the Jays won back-to-back titles in 1992 and 1993 with his help (though he was 0-3 in the first playoff run and left off the postseason roster for the second).

Said Morris in the Sportsnet story: “I’m thrilled to be joining the Sportsnet team and to be returning to Canada, “said Morris. “I’ve had a lot of great experiences here and am looking forward to this next chapter. This has been one of the most exciting off-seasons that Blue Jays fans have ever seen, and I’m honored to have the opportunity to be covering this amazing team for the next three years.”

Twins President Dave St. Peter offered kind words via Twitter: "Congrats to Jack Morris on his new role with the Blue Jays radio team. Great opportunity. Thankful for his many contributions to the @Twins."
