After being away from the NBA since 2008, former Timberwolves guard Troy Hudson was trying to make a comeback by playing in the NBA's D-League for the Sioux Falls Skyforce. Things were going relatively well as Hudson averaged 11 points through the team's first 12 games before foot and hip injuries kept him out for a month.
He returned to play two games, but then told the team he was finished.
Sioux Falls coach Joel Abelson said that Hudson "texted me that he thinks he can still play and wants to still play, but he just wasn’t going to play anymore, He felt his body couldn’t do it.”
Hudson played for the Wolves from 2002-07, but his only season as a full-time starter was 2002-03, when he averaged 14 points and 6 assists per game for the Wolves.
