Greetings from Target Center. We're about a half hour away from the tip of the Wolves' game with Dallas tonight, and here's a quick update:

As you already know, Ricky Rubio will make his return nine months after tearing two ligaments in his left knee. He will not start. Indeed, to start with, coach Rick Adelman said Rubio would only play between 16 and 18 minutes off the bench.

That allows Adelman to use the time outs that surround the end of the first quarter and the start of the second to keep Rubio rested during his eight- or nine-minute stretches of play.

Luke Ridnour and Alexey Shved will start, with J.J. Barea and Rubio coming off the bench at guard.

In other news, Kevin Love, who hurt the thumb in his right (shooting) hand in the closing moments of Friday's victory in New Orleans, will not play. But it's not because of his thumb, which should be taken as good news. He has flu-like symptoms.

I'll get back to you after the game with a recap. Have a good
