The Wolves now are down a third player again.

Backup point guard J.J. Barea won't play tonight against Indiana at Target Center because of a mid-foot sprain sustained in Wednesday's victory over Orlando and he won't make the trip tonight to Chicago for Saturday's game against the Bulls.

Coach Rick Adelman said before tonight's game that Barea will be evaluated again on Sunday and possibly could travel on his own to Dallas and meet the team there for Monday's game against the Mavericks.

Without Barea, Adelman said he will turn to Will Conroy and Malcolm Lee to backup starting point guard Luke Ridnour because he wants to keep Alexey Shved at shooting guard.

"If I play him at the point, I don't know who I'd put at the 2 because then I don't know who to put at the 3," Adelman said. "So we'll just go with the young guys."

Adelman also said he needs to be careful not to ask too much of starter Luke Ridnour, who is playing with a herniated disc in his back and tonight starts a stretch of three games in four nights.

The Wolves already are without injured stars Kevin Love and Ricky Rubio.

The Pacers will play without star forward Danny Granger, who's out the next three months because of a knee injury.
