Delmon Young has already won the ALCS MVP award, so one-half of the Twins' nightmare scenario is complete. He hit .353 with a 1.186 OPS in the Tigers' sweep of the Yankees. And in just 1.5 seasons in Detroit, he is already the franchise ALL-TIME leader in postseason home runs with seven. Think about that. In 68 playoff at bats with the Tigers, he has seven home runs. In their last three playoff series, the Twins AS A TEAM have seven home runs in 311 at bats. They are 0-9 in those games (sorry). Anyway, that's half of the nightmare scenario, and it's already happened. The other half could happen tonight. Kyle Lohse pitches Game 7 of the NLCS. He is already 1-0 in the series. If the ex-Twins pitcher -- who once reportedly attacked Ron Gardenhire's office door with a bat after being removed from a start -- hurls a gem and the Cardinals win in San Francisco after squandering a 3-1 series lead, Lohse has to be a good bet to win NLCS MVP. No hitters are in line for the award. No other pitchers are, either.

Think about that: Young and Lohse as LCS MVPs.

Man oh man.
