Michael Rand started RandBall with hopes that he could keep lies from conquering the minds of the weak. So far, he's only succeeded in using the word "redacted" a lot. He welcomes suggestions, news tips, links of pure genius, and pictures of pets in Halloween costumes here, though he already knows he will regret that last part.

Welcome to "box scores that time forgot," a semi-regularly occurring feature here at RandBall. Let's delve into an NBA game from January 2010. Excited? You should be. Because ...
*The game between the Wolves and Rockets went three overtimes.
*The reason it got that far is that Corey Brewer SWISHED a three-point shot from half court at the buzzer at the end of regulation.
*The head coach of the Wolves was Kurt Rambis. The head coach of the Rockets was Rick Adelman. Things are better now.
*The Wolves' leading scorer was Al Jefferson (26 points). The second-leading scorer was Ryan Gomes (18). Kevin Love scored eight points on 2-for-10 shooting, which is inconceivable just two years later.
*Jonny Flynn had 9 points on 3-for-13 shooting and missed two shots near the end of the first OT that might have won the game.
*Nathan Jawai played nine minutes. FOR THE TIMBERWOLVES.
*Aaron Brooks played 59 minutes and scored 43 points for Adelman's Rockets. Work on that conditioning, fellas.
*Newly acquired Wolves swingman Chase Budinger managed to be a minus-12 in just 5:32 of court time.
