Michael Rand started RandBall with hopes that he could keep lies from conquering the minds of the weak. So far, he's only succeeded in using the word "redacted" a lot. He welcomes suggestions, news tips, links of pure genius, and pictures of pets in Halloween costumes here, though he already knows he will regret that last part.

The best Twins player of this generation is having a bounce-back season, punctuated by earning another trip to the All-Star game, which was announced Sunday. And yet there is this:

Josh Willingham is having a very good season -- with several memorable hits -- but he plays a crowded position, and if you look at his overall numbers ... it gets harder to make a case for Willingham over Mauer. Still, we have this.
