Rant Sports likes it some Robbie Hummel

Just in case you forgot about Robbie Hummel's physical woes at Purdue, here's the website Rant Sports to remind you: "Early in his career, many people thought Robbie Hummel and company were going to lead Purdue back to the Final Four.  That never happened due to a fractured back his sophomore year and an ACL tear his junior year when the team was ranked third in the country."

And writer Riley Schmitt went to describe the final game of Hummel's career, when No. 10 seed Purdue lost by three to No. 2 (and eventual national runner-up) Kansas in the second round with Hummel scoring 26 points and grabbing nine rebounds: "Hummel played lights out and made Robinson look silly when he tried to guard him on the perimeter.  Every time Kansas got close, Hummel would respond.  Trailing by one with just over ten seconds left, Hummel had a great look at a three that just missed.  Purdue lost by three but it was a great way for Hummel to go out."

That is why Schmitt writes: "Robbie Hummel will now have a career of proving people wrong.  ... He is too smart of a player to not stick on a roster.  His shooting will win him a job somewhere."

Here's the full article, which will make you forget for a moment that Hummel was the third-to-last guy picked in Thursday night's draft.
