Thursday was an off day for the Lynx. No game, no practice.

And they still increased their lead in the Western Conference. Second-place Los Angeles lost 94-80 at San Antonio to fall four games behind the Lynx in the Western Conference standings.

The Lynx are 13-1 after beating Phoenix on Wednesday. L.A., just 5-5 in its last 10 games, is 10-6 and third place San Antonio is 6-5.

The Lynx play at San Antonio on Sunday on hoops and hounds day. Should be a lot of barking -- and not only at refs -- that game. Then the Lynx play at Los Angeles on Thursday. So a few Lynx coaches and players might have been watching their Thursday matinee on wnba.com's liveaccess.

It wasn't pretty from L.A.'s point of view. Candace Parker had 25 points and 13 rebounds, but rookie Nneka Ogwumike, the No. 1 pick in the WNBA draft in April, was average with 10 points and six rebounds and point guard Kristi Toliver was non-existent. She had zero points, one assist and three turnovers in 16 minutes.

L.A. shot OK, 49.2 percent, but had 17 turnovers to the Silver Stars' 10.

Alana Beard played point guard much of the game for L.A. and had 14 points and 10 assists.

San Antonio had five players in double figures -- just as L.A. did -- led by Sophia Young with 23 points and Becky Hammon with 17. The Silver Stars are 6-5, 4-1 in their last five games. San Antonio is 4-1 at home.

* Seattle (6-7) has the longest current winning streak in the league at five games.
