Michael Rand started RandBall with hopes that he could keep lies from conquering the minds of the weak. So far, he's only succeeded in using the word "redacted" a lot. He welcomes suggestions, news tips, links of pure genius, and pictures of pets in Halloween costumes here, though he already knows he will regret that last part.

1) Francisco Liriano is red-hot, having pitched well enough that he has at least reasonable trade value.
2) The Twins just lost twice to the White Sox, the latter coming in blowout fashion, to eradicate (at least for now) any illusion of climbing back into the AL Central picture.
3) The Yankees put CC Sabathia on the DL and then lost Andy Pettitte for 6 weeks with a broken ankle on the same day.
Not saying, just saying.
