Julie Wojta has found a team.

The 6-foot guard/forward, who was cut by the Lynx on Wednesday, has signed with Dexia Namur Capitale, the Belgian League champion in 2011-12. The team is coached by Daniel Goethals, the coach of the under-20 Belgian women's national team.

Wojta, who played for Wisconsin-Green Bay, was one of the Lynx's last two cuts. The WNBA champions took her in the second round of the WNBA draft last month, No. 19 overall, but she always was a longshot to make a team loaded with returning players from last season.

If Wojta clears WNBA waivers on Friday -- meaning nobody claims her in 48 hours -- she will become an unrestricted free agent, eligible to sign with any of the 11 other teams in the league. But it is unlikely anyone will claim her this close to the start of WNBA this weekend.

Teams are cutting players this week, not signing them to get down to the 11 players they are allowed to carry.

What's more likely, is Wojta will join her new team in Belgium in September.
