Gophers finish third in home attendance

The Gophers were third nationally in attendance this season, trailing only Wisconsin and North Dakota, two WCHA teams with larger arenas.

Average attendance at Mariucci Arena for 23 home games was 9,539.2. The Badgers and the Fighting Sioux both averaged more than 11,000 fans at home games.

In 2010-11, the Gophers drew 209,957 for 22 home games, which was an average of 9,544.
