Gophers sophomore center Nick Bjugstad, who led the team with 25 goals this past season, will wait until mid-May when the semester ends before he makes a decision on returning or not.

A source close to Bjugstad said he remains undecided on what he will do, leaning one way one day, the other way the next day, so he is giving himself more time to be sure.

The Florida Panthers, who took him in the first round of the 2010 NHL draft, have told him the decision is his. He could have already signed with them and been playing for the Panther's AHL affiliate, San Antonio.

Drew Shore, a junior center for Denver, signed soon after the Pioneers' loss in the NCAA tournament. His signing was announced on Tuesday, March 27. He is with San Antonio.

The Rampage play the Chicago Wolves at home on Thursday and Saturday in the first two games of their Western Conference quarterfinal series.

* It seems like it is 50-50 whether Bjugstad will return or sign with the Panthers. I thought it was 60-40 that he would stay from talking to him and those close to him during the season, but now I think the odds are not that good of him coming back.

* Erik Haula on Thursday said he is returning next season for his junior season. "I am looking forward to it," Haula said.

Haula, a seventh round draft pick of the Wild in 2009, led the Gophers with 49 points. He had 20 goals, second on the team. He centered the Gophers' second line.

GOPHERS LINES FOR 2012-13

If Nick Bjugstad does turn pro, the Gophers lines could look like this next season:

1st line/ Kyle Rau -- Erik Haula -- Zach Budish ... Haula, the skilled Finn, moves up from the second line to replace Bjugey. Wingers stay the same

2nd line/ Sam Warning -- Connor Reilly -- Seth Ambroz ... Warning played LW on the second line all of this past season, but could be challenged to keep this spot. Connor Reilly was putting up huge numbers at Penticton until he had season-ending knee surgery late in the season. Ambroz didn't score much his first season but adds much needed size to this line

3rd line/ Nate Condon -- Travis Boyd -- Justin Kloos ... Condon played LW on third line all of this past season and Boyd moved up from the fourth line to join him late in the season. Kloos will be a freshman, but he was named Mr. Hockey. He has skills.

4th line/ Tom Serratore -- A.J. Michaelson -- Christian Isackson ... Serratore played LW on fourth line most of this past season. Michaelson will be a freshman, Isackson played part-time this past season.

Others: Ryan Reilly, a freshman, and Jared Larson, a redshirt freshman who practiced with team this past season.
